A security guard CV for Dubai is a licence CV before it is a duties CV. The reader needs the category on the card, and whether you hold that card or only a course certificate. I am an AI specialist in Dubai, not a lawyer and not a licensing officer. CVPage is an independent help site, not affiliated with SIRA, Dubai Police, or MOHRE, and this is not legal advice. Check the live service page before you rely on a category.
SIRA's new Security Cadre Card service says it is provided to security services provider companies, so they can issue a Security Personnel License that allows the holder to practice professions in the private security sector in the Emirate of Dubai. The individual does not appear on that page as the person who files the application alone.

On the Security Guard row of that page, the required documents include an Emirates ID, valid residency, a certificate of good conduct and behavior issued by Dubai Police and addressed to SIRA, completion of the Security Guard course from certified training centers, a physical fitness certificate valid for 3 months, a fire safety certificate, a life support certificate, and a certificate in dealing with people of determination, from approved training centers. The age range on that row is 21 to 60. The row also says the company must add a trade-licence activity it names, including general guarding, event security and personal guarding, money and valuables transport, or guarding tourist establishments.

What should a security guard CV for Dubai include?
Use the UAE header, then a licence line a supervisor can check without calling you. One or two pages is enough. The site, the shift pattern you actually worked, and the log you wrote matter more than a paragraph about vigilance. A file copied from a driver CV, with the title changed, still reads like deliveries.
- Header: name, Security Guard or the narrower category you hold, city, phone with country code, email.
- SIRA: the category printed on the card, the issue month, and the expiry month. Say trainee permit if that is what you hold.
- Company: the security company on the card, and whether your residence is sponsored by that same company.
- Visa and notice on their own lines.
- Experience: site type, dates with months, and bullets a supervisor could ask you to walk through.
- Leave the card number, the Emirates ID number, and the passport number off the file you email widely. Those belong on the form.
The wider format notes, including what to leave out of the header, are on the UAE and Gulf CV hub
How do you write a SIRA licence without upgrading it?
The terms on the same service say the application must be submitted by a company or institution licensed to provide security services. The person's residency must be with the same company they work for. The profession listed in the residency must match the security personnel's licence. The Security Cadre License is valid for two years. If the contract ends, the security manager withdraws the card and requests cancellation.

The same terms describe a temporary security licence for individuals, called a Trainee Permit, for people who do not yet meet the requirements. It is valid for 90 days, non-renewable, and can only be issued once. A trainee permit is not the two-year cadre card.

A line that matches those terms looks like this: SIRA, Security Guard, issued June 2023, expiry as printed on the card. Residence sponsored by the same security company. Or: Security Guard course completed, card not issued. Or: Trainee Permit, expires on the date printed, not a cadre licence. Do not write SIRA approved because you sat the course. Do not write the card is valid in every emirate. This page is Dubai's service. I am not inventing a federal guard licence the page does not name.
Which SIRA category gets mixed up with security guard?
The new-card page is a long table. Three rows are the ones a guard CV tends to blur. I am not copying the fees. Fees change, and a fee is not a CV line. The category name and the extra course are the facts that change the job.
| Category on that page | What that row adds | Age on that row |
|---|---|---|
| Security Guard | Security Guard course, fitness certificate valid for 3 months, fire safety, life support, and dealing with people of determination. The company adds an activity that row lists. | 21 to 60 |
| Money Transport Guard | Security Guard course plus the Cash Transport Guard course, and the same fitness and safety certificates. Company activity is money and valuables transport. | 21 to 60 |
| Security Supervisor | Security Operations Manager course and Security Supervisor course. A different row from Security Guard. | 25 to 60 |
A mall post and a cash run are different cards. Cash-in-transit duties do not belong on a Security Guard line. A supervisor title does not belong there either. If the advert says money transport and your card does not, say you do not hold that category.
SIRA's homepage says it seeks to provide Dubai with the highest levels of safety and security through international best practices in security systems, services, and guards. That line does not merge the cadre categories into one licence.

What bullets fit a guarding job?
Write the post, the log, and the handover. Name the kind of site if you can say it without turning a client's address into a story. A Business Bay tower and a warehouse gate are different jobs. Do not add an incident count you cannot show. If the book had a figure, you may use it. If it did not, describe the note you wrote.
- Logged visitors against the daily list the supervisor issued, and stopped the name that was not on it.
- Wrote the incident note the same shift, with the time and the location, and handed it to the control room.
- Walked the floors on the patrol sheet and recorded a door that did not latch.
- Briefed the next shift from that sheet, instead of leaving the exception in a chat message.
Those four lines are a pattern for a static guard. They are not a cash escort, and they are not a systems technician. Money Transport Guard is a separate row, with its own course. Do not borrow it. Do not borrow a driver's delivery log either. The licence on this CV is SIRA, not an RTA vehicle class.
What does a fictional Dubai security guard CV look like?
The sample is invented. The phone number is not real. Do not copy the employer or the years. If a line is not true of you, delete it. This is not the light-vehicle sample with the job title changed.
Yusuf Diallo Security Guard Dubai, UAE +971 50 000 0015 yusuf.diallo.example@email.com Nationality: Senegal Visa: employment residence, sponsored by the security company below. A new job needs a new MoHRE permit. Notice: 30 days, as written in the contract SIRA: Security Guard category, card issued June 2023. Expiry is the date printed on the card. The service page says a cadre licence is valid for two years. Residence sponsor matches the company on the card. Not a Money Transport Guard. Not a Security Supervisor. No trainee permit. Card number and Emirates ID are not on this file. Mina Gate Security LLC, Dubai Security Guard July 2023 to present Logged visitors at a Business Bay tower against the daily list. Wrote incident notes the same shift and passed them to the control room. Recorded doors that failed the patrol sheet, and briefed the next shift from that sheet. Did not escort cash. The card is not a money-transport category. Dakar Site Watch, Dakar Site guard April 2018 to February 2022 Home-country site work. Not a SIRA card and not a UAE residence.
Yusuf's file is a Dubai guard card, a visitor log, and a handover. It refuses the categories he does not hold. A cash escort needs the Money Transport row and the cash course. A supervisor needs the supervisor row. Neither is this sample with a noun swapped.
What mistakes are specific to a security guard CV in Dubai?
- Writing SIRA licensed when you only finished the Security Guard course.
- Writing the two-year card when you hold a 90-day trainee permit.
- Putting money-transport or supervisor duties on a Security Guard card.
- Hiding a residence sponsored by a different company. The service page says the sponsor and the security company should be the same.
- Printing the card number, Emirates ID, or a photo of the identity card on a CV you email widely.
- Copying a driver sample and changing driver to guard. The licence line is not an RTA class.
- Claiming the Dubai card covers every emirate. This service page is for Dubai.
Where do the visa line and the photo sit?
Working in the UAE without a valid MoHRE work permit is illegal. A SIRA card does not replace that permit, and the CV does not create it. The profession on the residence still has to match the licence, which is SIRA's condition, not a suggestion from this site.

A headshot is a separate decision from the identity card. Some guarding adverts ask for a photo. That is a plain headshot, not a scan of the Emirates ID and not the card number typed under it. If the advert is silent, leave the photo off rather than decorating the file. The photo guide on this site treats that as a habit, not a labour-law requirement.
Section order, length, and what to leave out of the header are in the UAE CV format guide
Wording for employment residence, a visit entry, and applying from abroad is in the visa-status guide
A driving job uses an RTA category, not a SIRA card. That sample stays in the driver CV for UAE jobs
A mall till uses a POS close, not a SIRA card. That sample is the cashier CV for Dubai
When a headshot helps and when to leave it off is covered in the photo guide
Keep the SIRA line in the normal reading order. A two-column design can bury it. Paste the file into the parser test
Common questions
Can I write SIRA licensed if I only finished the guard course?
No. Write the course, and write card not issued, unless the Security Guard category is already on the card. A course is one document on SIRA's list. It is not the licence.
Is a trainee permit the same as a security cadre card?
No. SIRA's terms say the trainee permit lasts 90 days, cannot be renewed, and can be issued once, until you meet the requirements. The cadre licence on that page is valid for two years.
Does a Security Guard card cover cash transport?
Not on the page used here. Money Transport Guard is a separate row, with the cash transport course and a company activity in money and valuables transport. Write the category printed on your card.
Should the CV show the SIRA card number or the Emirates ID?
No. Category, dates, and the company are enough on the file you email. The numbers belong on the form that asks for them. CVPage is not SIRA and not Dubai Police.
