CVPage AI ("we", "us") is operated by Salman Ahmed, AI Specialist, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The site at cvpage.org is a resume checker and a set of career guides. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Salman Ahmed is the controller for personal data described here.
Information you provide
When you paste or upload a resume, that text is transmitted to our servers for analysis. Optional job descriptions are processed the same way. If you email us, we receive your message content and email address. If you opt in on the gratuity calculator or the resignation visa timeline, we receive the email address you type and your consent.
Email list
Those two pages can offer an optional signup: email me this result and later notes when UAE job rules change. We add you only if you tick the consent box. We store that list in a Google Sheet (Google): the email address, which of those pages you used, the time you signed up, and that you consented. If the sheet cannot take the row and our database is configured, we store the same fields there instead. Wage figures and dates from the calculator stay in your browser and are not stored with the signup. We do not sell this list. To be removed, email hello@cvpage.org with the subject line "Email list".
How we use resume content
- Generate credibility audits, heatmaps, critiques, and suggested rewrites
- Compare resume text to a job description when you provide one (ATS keyword analysis)
- Show a generic parser preview, draft a resignation letter, or draft a cover letter when you use those tools
- Read a pasted job message on the scam checker when you ask for that optional step. The checklist and both wage calculators stay in the browser
- Explain a pasted job offer when you ask for that reading. Salary, experience, and no-objection drafts are filled in the browser and are not uploaded
- Operate, secure, and debug the service (short-lived server logs)
We do not sell your resume text. We do not use your submissions to train machine learning models.
Storage and retention
Resume processing is designed to be ephemeral: we do not maintain user accounts or a permanent library of your documents by default. Server and CDN logs may retain IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request metadata for a limited period for security and reliability.
Third-party processors
The site is hosted on Vercel. Resume text is sent to an AI inference provider only to produce your audit. Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use advertising cookies and does not build an advertising profile. The optional email list is stored in a Google Sheet, so Google handles that spreadsheet. These processors handle data to run the service.
ChatGPT app
CVPage AI offers a ChatGPT app called cvpage UAE Job Toolkit. When you use one of its tools, ChatGPT sends cvpage.org the text or figures that tool needs: a CV, a job ad, an offer, a recruiter message, letter details, or gratuity inputs. We do not store that text. We do not put it in a database, and we do not write the CV or letter contents into logs.
Wording checks and letter drafts use the same AI provider as the website. By default that is Rork Toolkit. If the operator switches the site to OpenAI, the text goes there instead. The gratuity tool does the maths on the server and does not call an AI model. OpenAI's own privacy policy covers the chat on their side. Questions: hello@cvpage.org.
Cookies and advertising
Essential cookies may be used for site function. If display advertising (including Google AdSense) is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads per their policies. You can control cookies in your browser and via Google Ads Settings.
Our site may include an ads.txt file when advertising is active to declare authorized ad sellers.
What not to submit
Do not submit government IDs, health records, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal data unrelated to a job application.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Contact us at hello@cvpage.org with subject line "Privacy".
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do.
