Which UAE employment letter do you need?

The draft uses only what you type. The employer still has to sign it.
- Salary certificate. Employer states current pay.
- Salary certificate request. You ask HR to issue it.
- Experience certificate. Article 13 fields when the contract ends.
- No-objection letter. A named purpose. Not a work permit.
Which letter are you actually being asked for?
People in the UAE use four different pieces of paper and call several of them a letter. A salary certificate is the employer telling a bank, a landlord, or a visa desk what you are paid. A salary-certificate request is you asking the employer to write that. An experience certificate is the record of the job after it ends. A no-objection letter is the employer saying they do not object to a specific thing you named. The forms on the linked pages fill a draft from the fields you type. They do not look up your salary, and they do not add a date you left blank.
Only one of the four has a clause I can point to in Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. Article 13(11) says the employer gives the worker, on request and when the contract ends, an experience certificate free of charge. It has to show the start, the end, the length of service, the job title or the kind of work, the last wage, and the reason the contract ended, and it must not include anything that harms the worker's reputation or makes the next job harder to get. I read that in the English text of the decree. The salary certificate and the no-objection letter are workplace habits. I did not find a MoHRE template that sets their wording.
Who is allowed to sign it?
The draft says, in capital letters, that it is for the employer to issue on letterhead and that it is not valid until they sign it. That line is there because a certificate you print yourself is not the document a bank asked for. If you need the letter today, send the request version to human resources and let them put it on their paper. Keep passport numbers and the Emirates ID out of the draft. If the bank wants those, add them on the copy that stays between you and the bank, not in a file you email around.
The forms run in the browser. Nothing in them is sent to a server. You can copy the text, download a plain text file, or print the draft. There is no Word or PDF generator behind the button. Paste the text into the employer's template if they have one.
When does each one come up?
A landlord or a bank that is judging rent or a loan usually wants the salary certificate, because the question is what you earn now. A new employer who wants proof you did the last job usually wants the experience certificate, because the question is what you did and when it ended. A no-objection letter shows up when someone wants the current employer to say a second activity, a visit, or a file is fine with them. It is a poor substitute for a work permit. The portal's page on working for two employers talks about a MoHRE part-time permit, not about a letter replacing that permit.
Changing jobs after a contract ends is described on the terminating contracts page. Article 27 of Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, as that page states it, allows work for another employer when the contract ended in the ways the law lists. The page does not list a no-objection letter as one of those conditions. If a recruiter says you cannot move without an NOC, read that page before you treat the letter as a legal key.
What should you open next?
Use the salary certificate draft when the employer will sign a statement of pay. Use the request when you are the one asking. Use the experience certificate draft when the contract has ended or is ending and you want the Article 13 fields written down. Use the no-objection draft only for the purpose you can name in one line.
If the salary figures came from an offer you have not signed, read them on the offer letter explainer first. Basic wage and allowances are different numbers, and gratuity follows the basic one. The settlement calculator is the place to turn a basic wage and two dates into an estimate. The scam checker is the place for a message that asks you to pay before any of these letters exist.
