CVPage AI uses AI in two places: the resume check on the homepage, and help while drafting some guides. This page says what that means for you.
Resume check
When you submit a resume, the text goes through an Analyze, Critique, Rewrite pipeline. A language model, with fixed instructions, flags robotic phrasing, comments on weak lines, suggests short rewrites, and can compare your wording to a job description if you paste one.
- The instructions forbid inventing metrics, employers, or dates
- Total length growth is capped at 10% per check
- The output is a suggestion. You are still the author
Guides
Guides are written and reviewed by Salman Ahmed. Some drafts start with AI assistance. A guide is published only after it is edited for accuracy. Statistics stay in a guide only when a source is linked.
What the AI here does not do
- Promise interviews or job offers
- Replace your check of dates, titles, and numbers
- Try to hide that a resume was drafted with AI
- Train on the resume text you submit
If a guide is wrong
Email hello@cvpage.org with the page URL and the correction. Resume text is sent to an AI inference provider only for that request. Details are in the privacy policy.
What should you do after the model replies?
The homepage check sends your resume text through a fixed set of instructions. The model flags lines that sound generic, comments on them, and proposes a shorter line. It is told not to add a metric, an employer, or a date. The cap is 10 percent more words than you pasted. That instruction is not a guarantee. Read the result and delete anything you did not already know to be true.
Guides are different from the live check. I write them, and some sentences start as a model draft that I then edit against the source I cite. A guide that states a labour rule names the article or the portal page. If it does not, treat it as hiring practice, not as a statute.
The detector page flags writing patterns. A flagged line is not proof that ChatGPT wrote your CV, and a clean line is not proof that it did not. Do not use either result to tell an employer a story about who typed the file.
Nothing in the check is stored as a public resume. The privacy policy says what the request contains. If you need a line removed from a guide because it names you, email hello@cvpage.org with the URL. Guides use composites, not client files.
