What should a UAE salary certificate say, and how do you get one online?

What is a UAE salary certificate?
It is a short statement, on the employer's paper, that you work there and what you are paid. Banks ask for it when they look at a personal loan, a credit card, or a car loan. Landlords ask when they judge a tenancy. Some visa files ask for proof of income. I did not find a MoHRE form that fixes the sentences, and I am not quoting a particular bank's checklist, because each institution publishes its own and they change. Ask the desk that requested the letter what it must contain, then ask human resources for those lines and no others.
The draft on this page is the shape people usually need: your name, the employer, the job title, the city, the start date, monthly basic wage, monthly allowances, and the purpose, such as a tenancy or a bank. It is marked as a draft until the employer signs it. A printout from your laptop is a writing aid. It is not the certificate.
Why split basic wage and allowances?
The person reading the letter often wants the total. You still want the split written down. Gratuity under Article 51 is calculated on basic wage, not on housing or transport. If the certificate shows only one blended number, you cannot see which part is basic when you later estimate end-of-service pay on the settlement calculator. If the offer you signed separated them, the certificate should separate them the same way. The offer explainer is useful when you still have that offer and want the split read back before you ask HR to confirm it.
Type only figures you can point to on a payslip or a contract. The form will not invent a housing allowance. If allowances are zero, leave the box empty and the line drops out of the draft rather than printing a fake zero you did not mean.
What do people add that this draft leaves out?
Passport number, Emirates ID, a monthly deduction, a probation sentence, and a promise that the job is permanent. Add a passport number only if the institution's own list requires it, and add it on their copy, not in a message you forward widely. Probation matters to some banks. If you are still inside the six-month maximum the contracts page describes, say so in a sentence you write yourself. Do not let a template call a fixed-term contract permanent. Private-sector contracts under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 are fixed term.
The signatory should be someone the company has authorised, on letterhead, with a date. A certificate with no date is easy to doubt. The date field is the date of the letter, not your birthday.
How do you get a UAE salary certificate online?
You can draft the wording online on this page. You cannot download a signed certificate from MOHRE, because I did not find a MOHRE form that fixes the sentences. The signed letter still comes from the employer. Do the steps in this order.
1. Ask the bank, the landlord, or the visa desk which lines they need. Each institution publishes its own list, and the lists change. Do not guess a passport number onto a file you will forward.
2. Open this page and type only facts you can point to on a contract or a payslip: your name, the employer, the job title, the city, the start date, monthly basic wage, monthly allowances, and the purpose, such as a tenancy or a bank. Leave an allowance box empty if the figure is zero. The draft drops that line rather than printing a number you did not mean.

6. Read the signed letter against the payslip before you send it on. Basic wage and allowances should match what the Wages Protection System has been paying. If the letter and the transfer disagree, fix the letter.
That is the online path: the draft is filled in the browser, and the certificate exists when the employer signs it. The form stays on this page. Copy, download, or print it. It does not become their letter.
How do you ask for it if HR wants an email first?
Use the request draft. It is written in your voice, names the purpose, and asks for basic wage and allowances separately. Send that. Keep this certificate draft for the version you hope they will sign, or hand it to them as suggested wording if they ask what the bank wants to see. If the request is really about the job you already left, you want an experience certificate, not a salary certificate. A salary certificate talks about current pay. An experience certificate talks about a finished contract, and Article 13 is the clause for that one. Wages on the certificate should match what the Wages Protection System has been paying. If the letter and the transfer disagree, the bank will notice before you do, so fix the letter rather than explaining the gap in the branch.
